The reaction of Seyed Abdul Fattah Nawab, the head of Iranian pilgrims, to the arrest of Ghasemian:

Sayyid Abdol-Fattah Navab, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs and the head of Iranian pilgrims, said in a speech to Iranian pilgrims in Mecca:

Considering the knowledge I have about this country due to years of successful service in Umrah and Hajj, I was astonished when I heard these comments, and such statements should not have been made.

He is an active Quranic force, and for this reason, expectations from him are higher.

However, we expect the respected officials of the host country to allow this respected individual to perform his pilgrimage actions and return to his homeland, considering the personal nature of this individual's perspective and in respect of the services he has rendered in promoting Quranic culture.

Each of these countries has a specific type of government; some are governed by monarchy, some by republic, and others in different ways, and the governance system of each country is respected; therefore, we believe that any governance based on the consent of its people is respectable.

Throughout the history of this land, every government that has come to power has sought to serve the pilgrims of the House of God, and their efforts have been focused on serving the pilgrims. In every period, and especially in contemporary times, there has been development of the Holy Mosque and the Mosque of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
