Hassan Shojai Ali Abadi served in the 11th Parliament without having completed his military service or obtaining a permanent exemption. Revolutionary members of Parliament changed the conscription and electoral laws in such a way that they could receive permanent exemptions for themselves and run for election, while simultaneously sidelining some rivals from the competition!
