In today's open session (Sunday, December 1), the Islamic Consultative Assembly reviewed the resignation request of Mohammad Ashouri, the representative of Bandar Abbas, Qeshm, Abu Musa, Hajiabad, and Khamir.
Ultimately, the parliament approved Ashouri's resignation to serve as the governor of Hormozgan, with 206 votes in favor, 40 against, and 4 abstentions out of a total of 254 votes.
According to the internal regulations of the parliament, any representative whose credentials have been approved can resign from their position, but acceptance of the resignation requires parliamentary approval.
