یادداشت دکتر بیژن عباسی، استاد حقوق عمومی دانشگاه تهران با عنوان: «کودتای بیست و هشت مرداد هزار و سیصد و سی و دو علیه دولت دکتر مصدق»

Revolution is a change of government from below by the people and coup d'Etat is a French word that literally means a blow to the government and politically means a change of government or government from above and often by a military person.

In the overthrow of Dr. Mossadegh's government, a coup happened because the Shah overthrew a legitimate and democratic government with the help of his own military and villains such as Shaaban Jafari (Brainless) and other movements and with the financial support of America and England. It is worth mentioning that Bill Clinton and David Owen, the British Foreign Minister during the Islamic Revolution, and many other documents have pointed out the role of America and England in this coup.

It is true that according to the constitutional constitution and its amendments, the appointment and removal of the prime minister was with the king, but in a constitutional and constitutional monarchy (parliamentary monarchy) such as England, the Benelux and Scandinavian countries, the king is a symbol of the unity of the nation and the continuity of the government. He should reign, not the government, and the government should be trusted and supported by the parliament and have political responsibility towards it. Therefore, the selection of the prime minister and its continuation depends on the opinion and will of the majority of the parliament, not the will of the king.

From 1941 to 1953, Mohammad Reza Shah tried to adhere to the constitution and constitutionalism, but after twelve years of reign, he no longer wanted the king to be powerless like the Queen of England, so he tried to take measures against Dr. Mossadegh and with the help of The above agents and governments, who were not happy with the nationalization of the oil industry, tried to overthrow the government and appoint Lieutenant General Zahedi as the prime minister.

It should be remembered that after the nationalization of the oil industry and the embargo of Iran's oil by England and other countries, Dr. Mossadegh ruled the country for two years by selling carpets, pistachios and cotton. Of course, some of Dr. Mossadegh's actions, such as the dissolution of the parliament through a referendum, were not foreseen in the constitution.

Let's not see political figures as black and white, let's see what services they have done for the country and what problems there are in their performance.
