Ghaem Panah, the executive vice president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, recently spoke in a hopeful and holistic tone of "win-win negotiations while preserving national interests" and promised that these negotiations would end "as soon as possible" and would lead to "broad openings" for economic activists.
If, like its predecessor, the 14th government falls into the trap of engineering public opinion with unfulfilled promises, it should be concerned about the erosion of social capital, the weakening of the efficient discourse, and the growing gap between the government and the nation. Do not put the government under the rubble of unrealistic expectations and unfounded wave-making for no reason. Don't hold social capital hostage with promises that are only momentary media consumption. A point that even some of the former medical consultants warned.
