Despite the plea from Amir Raeisian, a lawyer, and the numerous reposts by lawyers, civil activists, and media representatives, the First Branch of the Supreme Court, under the orders and approval of Mohseni Ejei, the head of the judiciary, prevented the reconsideration of his case by applying Article 477 of the Criminal Procedure Code and referring his judicial file to Branch 39 of the Supreme Court, presided over by Sheikh Ali Razini. This action obstructed the handling of his request for a retrial, even though the ruling favoring the application of Article 477 had not been communicated by the judiciary or his lawyers.
Mohammad Qobadlou was executed early this morning at Qazal Hessar Prison.
