Mirhossein Mousavi's statement from Hesr: The game is over! Put down your gun and step aside

  In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Merciful

A black page has been added to the long history of our nation that Iran does not remember.  As the days pass, the horrifying dimensions of the event become more apparent.  A great betrayal and crime has been committed against the people.  The houses are in mourning.  The streets are mournful;  Cities and towns are in mourning.  After years of escalation of repression, this is a tragedy that will be remembered for decades, if not centuries.  And a river of the warm blood of the deprived, which flowed on the earth in the cold month of January, will not stop boiling until it changes the course of history.

How can people say that they don't want this system and don't believe your lies?  it is enough  The game is over.  Oppression took hold of you and the trees you planted bore fruit.  At that time, when you were wearing war clothes against your nation, you were hitting your roots with an ax.  At that time, when you beat people's sympathizers and did not allow the least right speech in defense of human rights, you were laying a red carpet for foreign intervention.  At that time, when you put your finger in your ear for not listening to compassionate advice, you were losing your most precious opportunities with ignorance.  Your turn has come.  All that is left of you is a story;  A story full of blood and violence.  it is enough  Neither you have a solution for any of the country's crises, nor the nation has a choice but to protest again until the result is reached.  And you will not be able to repeat the tragedy of the 18th and 19th of December.  This is a burden that sooner or later, and probably sooner, the military and law enforcement will refuse to lift.  Put down your gun and step aside from power so that the nation can bring this land to freedom and prosperity.

The path that this small group of people suggests for this purpose is to hold a constitutional referendum by forming an all-inclusive front, consisting of all national tastes, based on the three principles of non-interference, rejection of internal tyranny, and peaceful democratic transition.  Because the establishment of stable peace and security and saving the country from the evil of the ruler's tyranny is possible only by the people's hands and without foreign intervention, based on the will of the nation.

Oh God, hear the cry of your oppressed servants from the heart of their conscience and answer their prayers for a free and prosperous Iran.  This is the only consolation that calms the sorrowful souls of our people.  And when the prisoners are released, your religion will be the first to see the Mohammedan smile of the sun again after a long captivity in the grip of religion sellers.
