Laurence Norman, the Wall Street Journal reporter, wrote: Path One: Larijani goes to Moscow. Larijani goes to Oman. He is reportedly discussing High-Enriched Uranium (HEU). He speaks publicly about the date of the next round of negotiations. Moscow is also discussing Ukraine and other issues with Trump’s inner circle, including Kushner and Witkoff. Oman is also hosting talks and coordinating with other regional players. Path Two: Official negotiations between Abbas Araghchi and Witkoff/Kushner are currently underway in Oman. Following the talks, both sides announce they are essentially standing by their key red lines. However, both sides speak of the seriousness of the negotiations, and Trump says the talks are going well. This raises an important question. What is the role of the Larijani-Russia path in these negotiations? Are the actual concessions and demands being raised on that path? Or is the official Oman path the primary venue for decision-making? Or both? I don't think we have enough clarity on this yet. But I believe we must consider Larijani a key player. I replied to him: Ali Larijani is merely one of the key players who holds the public-facing role.
Ali Larijani is just one of the key actors involved, essentially the public-facing component of a broader structure.
