اتحادیه اروپا سپاه پاسداران را در فهرست سازمان‌های تروریستی قرار داد

European Commission President Kaia Kallas said the EU's foreign ministers were "fateful" in their decision to sanction the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

European Commission President Kaya Kallas said the bloc's foreign ministers had taken a "fatal" step by designating the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organisation.

The EU had earlier imposed new sanctions on several senior Iranian officials in response to the bloody crackdown on protesters in Iran.

The Council of Europe said the sanctions would target Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, Prosecutor General Mohammad Movahedi Azad and Judge Iman Afshari of Branch 26 of Tehran's Revolutionary Court.

The Council of Europe said in a statement that all three had been "involved in the violent repression of peaceful protests and the arbitrary detention of political activists and human rights defenders."/BBC
