Iran under the shadow of Allied occupation.

In September 1941, Iran was entangled in one of the most significant crises of its contemporary history. Following the invasion of Iran by Soviet and British forces in late August 1941, the country was effectively under Allied occupation.
The 17th of Shahrivar fell in the midst of this crisis; a crisis that ultimately led to Reza Shah's abdication and the transfer of power to Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
