I was at home until the afternoon. Resting, studying, writing overdue memoirs, and repairing the household water heater, which had broken down, kept me occupied. In the morning, Mr. [Seyyed Hossein] Mousavi Tabrizi came and, regarding an issue that had been raised by the Judicial Council about the Department for Combating Vice, he told me some things after meeting with the Imam. My brother Mohammad and Mr. [Ali] Jannati also came after visiting the Imam and said that Mr. [Ali] Jannati had become the director of Television Network One in place of Mr. Anvar, who had gone to the front.
Ahmad Aqa came and said that the Imam had summoned some of us regarding an issue. In the afternoon, I went to the Imam's office. Messrs. Khamenei, [Mohammad Mahdi] Rabbani Amolshi, [Seyyed Hossein] Mousavi Tabrizi, and [Seyyed Abdolkarim] Mousavi Ardebili also came. We discussed that issue, and at night Ahmad Aqa took the result to the Imam, and the Imam expressed the opinion that the discussion should be brought to an end, and it was decided to postpone it to another time.
I spoke by telephone with Engineer [Mir Hossein] Mousavi about trucks and the transportation of day-old chicks, and also with Mr. [Gholamreza] Aghazadeh, Minister of State for Executive Affairs. I came home at night and listened to the news. Today, the «Supreme Council of the Islamic Revolution of Iraq» was announced by the Iraqis residing in Iran [formed], and Mr. [Seyyed Mohammad Baqer] Hakim was introduced as its spokesman. It is a turning point in the Islamic struggle of the Iraqi people.
