Kamran Ghazanfari, the representative of the rally against Zarif and the heads of the armed forces, emphasized that the order to appoint Zarif to the position of strategic vice president is fundamentally legal and should be automatically revoked, telling Iran Watch:

According to Article 27 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, peaceful assemblies, provided that they are not armed and do not harm the foundations of the revolution and religion, are free and do not require a permit, so there is no requirement to obtain a permit from the Ministry of Interior for such gatherings. In the recent rally, based on the same legal principle, there was no need to obtain a permit from the Ministry of Interior.
