حوادث افزایش بنزین پس از موافقت سران سه قوه و تایید آیت‌الله خامنه‌ای به روایت اسحاق جهانگیری

On Saturday, November 23, at the meeting of the High Council of Economic Coordination of the Three Powers, the Minister of the Interior presented a report on the events that took place, before the report began.

Ishaq Jahangiri writes in his memoirs:

On Saturday, November 25, at the meeting of the High Council of Economic Coordination of the Three Powers, the Minister of the Interior presented a report on the events that occurred, before the report began;  Rahmani Fazli asked a question that clearly indicated the difficult situation the government was facing.

The Minister of Interior asked the members of the meeting (wasn't this resolution approved by the system and the three powers?)

In response, the President gave a detailed explanation of the process of reaching this decision.  Some of the reactions on social networks and public platforms caused Mr. Rouhani's anger and his sharp reaction in the meeting.  A tweet from the user account attributed to the head of the judiciary, Mr. Raisi, which contained implicit opposition to the implementation of the plan, and a tweet by Gholamreza Tajgerdon, head of the Program and Budget Commission and a member of this meeting, opposing the plan, were among the reactions that met Mr. Rouhani's objection.

In the following days, unfortunate news of clashes in different cities of the country were published frequently.  Both attacks on banks and gas stations had increased, and the number of dead and wounded that were reported was high.  I spend really bitter days and hours and I had a lot of nervousness.  Such confrontations in such dimensions were far from expected.  According to what the Minister of Interior reported, between November 24 and 29, 165 cities were involved in protests and 1,244 street rallies were held, 54 military points were attacked in all corners of the country, more than a hundred weapons were stolen, and more than 4,300 people were arrested.  The Minister of Health announced the death of 225 protesters in hospitals.

Some cities had suffered a difficult situation during these protests, for example, in the west of Tehran province or in areas of Khuzestan, the situation was unexpected.  After the relative calm was established and regardless of the actions of the responsible institutions, I sent Mr. Alikhani to the western cities of Tehran province. The severity of the damage was high in these areas. After presenting a written report, I communicated it to all members of the government.
