Contrary to the established custom since 1989, the Eid al-Fitr prayer in Tehran will not be led by the Leader of the Islamic Republic, and Seyyed Mohammad Abutorabi will be in charge of leading it.

I had also pointed out, in separate notes, the necessity of immediately clarifying the status of the decrees and appointments made by the second Leader of the Islamic Republic, which surprisingly had been overlooked in the first public announcement of the third Leader, unlike the announcement made by the second Leader upon his own election.

With a subsequent announcement from the new Leader of the system, the significance of that note became clear as he confirmed all existing decrees and appointments for the time being; however, it remains unclear whether the positions of Marja'iyya (religious authority) and Leadership will remain unified or be separated.

Furthermore, it remains to be seen whether, following the long-standing tradition, the third Leader will appear on television to deliver a video address to the people for the new Solar Year.

The first state decree of the third Leader has been issued / All appointment decrees issued by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei have been extended.

In his first public decree, Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei, the third Leader of the Islamic Republic, announced the continued validity of his father's appointments, mandates, and policies across all levels. It is noteworthy that the aforementioned message makes no mention of the second Leader's jurisprudential rulings and their stability, including the adherence to a deceased Marja's opinion regarding the prohibition (fatwa) on the use of nuclear weapons.

In the Name of God, the Exalted
Following inquiries from some directors and officials of institutions directly appointed by the Martyred Leader (may God sanctify his pure soul), I hereby declare that, for the time being, none require a renewal of their appointment. It is necessary for them to continue their work based on the measures and policies they received during the lifetime of that great figure.

I ask Almighty God for everyone's success in fulfilling their responsibilities.
