Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that if he fails in his programs or faces excessive pressure in a way that prevents him from fulfilling his duties properly, he will resign from the presidency.

Of course, you, as his legal advisor, are much more aware than I, a simple law student, that the resignation of the president in the current structure of the country is not that straightforward and is subject to many political conditions.

Above all, it is appropriate to remind his supporters and Dr. Pezeshkian of Article 130 of the Constitution, which states that, according to this article, the hypothetical resignation of the president is not valid unless it receives the approval of the Leader of the Islamic Republic; until then, he is obligated to continue his service and fulfill his duties.

On the other hand, while these statements may be appealing to his supporters, they can raise sensitivities among the pillars of power and military, security, and intelligence agencies.
