آیت‌الله مسعودی خمینی: گشت ارشاد نمی داند معنای بنشین، بفرما و بتمرگ متفاوت است؟ /آقای جنتی پیر شده و باید در خانه بنشیند

Ayatollah Ali Akbar Masoudi Khomeini, a member of the Qom Seminary Teachers Association:

"Shouting at America is one thing, and introducing people to the Quran and Islam is another.

We dismissed one person in a certain way and another in a different manner. We have acted in a way that those who were revolutionary during the revolution have become indifferent.

Should we have dismissed Mr. Hashemi? Mr. Rafsanjani was with the Imam from the beginning of the revolution, even before the revolution, and continued to be so until he passed away. Should we reject such a person?

The trend of elimination and purification has reached the seminary. You should ask how much impact this can have among the people. It has the opposite effect.

I cannot say where the hardline current is being fed from, nor should it be disclosed.

With all due respect to Mr. Jannati, he has become old. He is 100 years old and should stay at home. I, too, should focus on aging and make use of capable young people.

Shouldn’t the Guidance Patrol at least know that the meanings of 'Sit down,' 'Please have a seat,' and 'Sit your butt down' are different? If you say 'Sit your butt down' to someone, he will respond: 'You and your father sit your butt down.' But if you say 'Please have a seat,' he will reply, 'Sure, I will.'"
