According to this ruling, which was issued by a federal court in Washington DC and published by Amirantzam's family's lawyer on social networks, Amirentezam's three children should be compensated a total of 19.5 million dollars.

The children of this deceased prisoner had previously filed a complaint against the Islamic Republic of Iran in this court due to the "imprisonment, torture and creation of conditions that caused the death" of their father. This complaint was registered in the court in 2019 and on the anniversary of Amirentezam's death.

Abbas Amirentezam, spokesman and deputy prime minister of Mehdi Bazargan's interim government after the Islamic Revolution, who was called the oldest political prisoner of the Islamic Republic, died on July 12, 2018.
