One of the individuals present at the National Security Commission meeting with Araghchi, who wished to remain unnamed, told Farhikhtegan:

Mr. Araghchi explained that at the beginning of the agreement, reference was made to the UN resolutions, and the Director-General acknowledged that any attack on nuclear facilities is illegal and contrary to the IAEA statute and international law.

The law passed by the Iranian Parliament is mentioned twice in this agreement, and the role of the Supreme National Security Council is reflected in the processes.

At the start of the session, Mr. Araghchi noted that they had brought the text of the agreement with them, and it would be read for the members of the Commission’s presidium. The Foreign Minister, in addition to having sent the text earlier that morning before the meeting, had also brought a physical copy to the session.

It cannot be said that all criticisms were addressed. After Mr. Araghchi’s explanations, some individuals raised questions, and some ambiguities may not have been resolved. Naturally, there are different perspectives on the agreement. However, the claim that “some negotiated on their own and the agreement was signed without coordination” is certainly not true. Overall, the atmosphere at the end of the meeting was very different from the beginning, and the text has now been placed at the disposal of Parliament members.
