The coordinates announced are located in the eastern corridors of Iranian airspace; a route that serves part of the southern country's flight traffic and the approaches leading to the Persian Gulf.

This section of airspace is typically used for incoming flights from the east, South Asia, and corridors leading to the Strait of Hormuz.

This aviation warning comes at a time when tensions in the Persian Gulf have increased, the aircraft carriers USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Dwight D. Eisenhower are deployed in the CENTCOM operational area, and simultaneously, the Islamic Republic of Iran is conducting joint maritime and security exercises in its southern waters in cooperation with Russia and China. This combination indicates that the deterrence structure and the level of tension in the region are moving toward an extremely sensitive stage.
