Announcement about the Kazan Federal University Accident

The Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kazan, as soon as it became aware of the matter, put the following measures on its agenda:
We would like to inform all dear compatriots, especially students and Iranians living in Kazan, this morning, Friday, 23/11/2024, a number of students studying at Kazan Federal University from different countries, including Uzbekistan, China, Iran, Turkmenistan, etc. To renew student visas, they refer to the "Visa Renewal Center" of the mentioned university. After a number of students argued with each other and the warning system was activated by the security of the center, the police were dispatched to the scene. The presence of the police and the insistence of the Iranian students led to the continuation of the argument and the inhumane and unprofessional beating of the students by the police, and two Iranian students were arrested.
Dispatching the representative consul to the detention center and following up on the situation of the two injured students;
Preparing and sending a note of protest to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation against the violent treatment of Iranian students by the police and providing explanations regarding the cause of the incident and the unprofessional involvement of the local police in the matter;
Preparing and sending a letter of protest to the International Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Kazan and reminding him of numerous warnings regarding the delay in addressing the problems of students at the Visa Renewal Center and requesting an explanation of the reasons for the security incident for Iranian students at the Federal University of Kazan;
Holding a meeting with students at the Consulate General;
Accompanying protesting students at the Federal University of Kazan;
Holding a meeting with the international vice chancellor of the university with the presence of ten student representatives;
Holding a meeting with the vice chancellor of the university, the head of the Kazan city police, and other university and city security officials;
As a result of the measures taken, it was decided that both Iranian students would be released and return to their dormitories and go to court tomorrow (Saturday, September 24, 2024) to go through the proceedings.
The Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran assures compatriots, students and Iranians living in Iran that it will follow up on the matter until the perpetrators of this unfortunate incident are identified.
