In its 519th meeting on November 8, the Competition Council condemned the telecommunication company for committing an anti-competitive practice in the act of including additional amounts in landline bills and collecting them from subscribers.

Following the receipt of complaints from some subscribers regarding the non-implementation of the provisions of Resolution 509 of the Competition Council on October 2, 2022, the issue was raised and discussed in the 519 meeting of the Competition Council. Based on this, the Competition Council issued a verdict condemning Iran Telecommunication Company for committing anti-competitive practices.

It should be noted that the subject of the 509th meeting of the Competition Council was the suspension of the implementation of Resolution 466 dated May 31, 2021 by Iran Telecommunication Company and the attempt to include additional amounts in landline telephone bills and collect them from subscribers.

In Article 3 of the resolution of the 466th session of the Competition Council on the topic of "Instructions on how to set the monthly cost of landline telephones", the Iranian telecommunications company was obliged to modify its system in some way by establishing the cost accounting system. That the cost of each of the services of this company is calculated separately and accurately and included in the audited financial statements of this company.
