When the negotiations have been postponed until next week, I believe that they have gone 30 percent of the way.

Abdolreza Faraji Rad, a veteran Iranian diplomat:

When the negotiations have been postponed until next week, I believe that they have gone 30 percent of the way. Because in the negotiations between Iran and the United States, this first part has been an important part. One of the reasons the Iranian side insisted on indirect negotiations was that it did not know what the American demands were.

There was concern that the Americans' demands would include dismantling the nuclear program, missile issues, and talking about the resistance front.
