Attention to Article 31 of the Parliamentary Election Law and Its Clauses

In addition to the "practical" commitment to the sacred system of the Islamic Republic of Iran, expressing loyalty to the Constitution and the progressive principle of the "absolute guardianship of the jurist," as outlined in the Constitution, is among the conditions for candidates. It is evident that this is reflected in Article 57 of the amendment to the Constitution ratified in 1989.

Previously, in a separate note published by Abdi Media, I mentioned the haste and negligence of the Constitutional Review Council after the amendment of Articles 57 and 107, which aimed to eliminate the latter part of Article 107 stating that "the leader is equal to other individuals in the country under the law."

This phrase should practically be considered an impossible suspension in the current structure of the Islamic Republic.
