Four Shah's generals were executed on the night of February 12 on the direct orders of Ayatollah Khomeini

In an interview with Iran Watch, Tavassoli, the former secretary general of the Freedom Movement, said:

Mohammad Tavassoli, the former secretary general of the Freedom Movement, told Iran Watch in a detailed interview: "In November 1978, despite the opposition of the members of the Movement, he did not pledge allegiance to Mr. Khomeini, saying that "the Islamic government in the way you are seeking, will lead to the tyranny of the clergy."

In the two meetings he had with Ayatollah Khomeini in Nofal Loshato, Mohandes Bazargan refused to write a letter to him and pledge allegiance to him according to the customary custom that other personalities did, and this resistance of Mohandes Bazargan caused tension in Nofal Loshato, so that even our friends, members of the Iranian Freedom Movement in Europe, and even Sadegh Ghotbzadeh himself objected to Mohandes Bazargan.
