The spokesperson of the US State Department has said that the Biden administration supports the right of the Albanian government to investigate the possibility of illegal activities in its territory.

The Albanian police announced that hundreds of police officers, based on the order of the country's special prosecutor's office, "entered Camp Ashraf 3, which hosts members of the People's Mojahedin, for inspection" on Tuesday, June 20.

Albania's Ministry of Interior said in a statement that no one was killed in the police operation. This is in the situation that the National Council of Resistance of Iran has announced the death of one person.

According to the Albanian section of the Voice of America, according to the police announcement, this operation was carried out with "the aim of a detailed investigation of all internal spaces and offices."

The report says: "These inspections were ordered on the suspicion of organizing cyber attacks against other countries."

On the same day, the Ministry of Interior of Albania accused the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran of violating the agreement on the deployment of its members in this country.

The ministry said: "The decision of the court is a direct result of the actions that directly violate the agreement and commitments of the Mujahideen group since 2014 and since they settled in Albania for humanitarian reasons. "Unfortunately, this group did not adhere to these commitments and violated the agreement."

According to Albania's interior ministry, inside the camp, there was resistance to the police who were carrying out their duties, which is "a violation of the law."
