"My children reside in Iran. Others cannot claim that they cannot obtain visas for themselves. During my last years as Foreign Minister, I was granted entry visas to the United States only once or twice.
After consulting, the President told me that there was no problem and that I should continue my work. I asked him to communicate this to me in writing, and he graciously did so. When I received this written notification, I went to meet with the Supreme Leader, which is why I was late. My delay was because I received the written notification when I was about five minutes away from reaching the Supreme Leader's office.
