After each presidential election period, one of the fixed plans of the president-elect is to meet with various executive, judicial and legislative officials and receive the latest reports of the country before the implementation ceremony.

In 2005, when Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won the second round of elections, he settled in the parliament building and started his meetings.

One of these meetings was the meeting of Dr. Mohammad Javad Zarif (then Iran's ambassador to the United Nations) with the president-elect. The narration of this meeting from the words of Dr. Zarif is available in the archives of the Islamic Revolution Documentation Center.
