Shah used to say, "He doesn't give us permission either!"

One of the important characteristics of Dr. Alinqi Alikhani, the Minister of Economy in the 1960s, was his independence of action in front of the court and his overemphasis on expert opinions to the point where he gradually fell out of the eyes of the Shah and those around him.
Drafting an organizational charter was one of the most important actions of him and his team, so much so that he did not even give permission for a cement factory within a 120-meter radius of Tehran to Mr. Moinian as the head of the Shah's special office. As far as the king said, "This guy doesn't give us permission either!"

"Jeep Akhwan" strongly opposed the issue of granting a license for car assembly. So they finally bypassed him and took the permission directly from the king. Of course, Alikhani never valued such people.

Regarding his independence in making decisions, even in front of the king, Reza Niazmand, deputy of Alinaqi Alikhani, says the following: One day, Alikhani entered the court and saw one of the ministry's employees leaving the court, and asked him: "Why did you come there?" He replied that he came to report to the king. The next day, Alikhani dismissed him, but in the next meeting of the Minister of Economy with the Shah, Mohammad Reza strongly accused him that in this country people cannot report to the Shah personally, but Alikhani did not change his decision!
