روزنامه جمهوری اسلامی ۴۵ ساله شد. روزنامه‌ای که به مرور زمان از راست به چپ چرخید.

The first issue of this newspaper, which was essentially the official organ of the Islamic Republic Party, was published on June 9, 1979, shortly after the party's establishment. Jamhoori Islami was the first party newspaper emerging from the Iranian Revolution, aiming to expand the discourse of the revolutionary clergy.

Abdolhassan Banisadr, the then-president, published the Enqelab Islami newspaper twenty days after the release of Jamhoori Islami, likely influenced by it, as he felt he had no place in the Islamic Republic. As a result, he established a column titled "The President's Report" in the Enqelab Islami to provide daily updates on his activities.

The first editor-in-chief of Jamhoori Islami was Ayatollah Khamenei, while the editorial responsibilities fell to Mir Hossein Mousavi, who occasionally wrote articles under the pseudonym Hossein Rahju.

Following the events of July 7, a drop of blood was designed at the top of this newspaper in memory of the martyrs of that day, a design seemingly inspired by the cover of the brilliant novel "The Neighbors" by Ahmad Mahmoud.

Postscript:
Additionally, reading the diaries from 1999, 2000, and 2001 of Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani vividly illustrates the significant role Sheikh Masih Mohajeri played in the mass closure of newspapers and in convincing Ayatollah Khamenei to uproot the press or arrest political and cultural figures.
