BBC Persian: Masoud Pezeshkian, in his election campaign advertisements on Iranian television, referred to the nationwide protests in 1401 Iran after the killing of Mahsa Amini, and considered the treatment of the protesters as a result of the inappropriate measures of the system. He said, "If they had listened to me at that time, no one's blood would have been shed. If they had formed a truth-finding committee and had not acted recklessly, this tragedy would not have happened.
He said in part of his speech, "We are a minority group who want to determine everyone's fate with decisions made in their own rooms. Those who didn't come first, if they come now and accept us and vote, will create a huge difference in the votes and say they are against this minority.
