ابراهیم رئیسی مصاحبه اش با سی‌ان‌ان را به دلیل عدم رعایت حجاب توسط کریستین امان پور در خاک آمریکا کنسل کرد.

Christian Amanpour, a well-known Iranian-American anchor reporter for CNN, wrote in a tweet:

While he was waiting for Ebrahim Raisi to talk, someone on his behalf told Amanpour that the president "recommends" that you wear a headscarf because of the "holy month of Muharram and Safar".

Amanpour, who did not accept this request, emphasized that he did not wear a hijab in any of his interviews with the presidents of Iran and that there is no law for "hijab" in America.

This reporter said that the representative of Ebrahim Raisi, referring to the "current situation of Iran", clearly told him that if you don't wear a headscarf, the interview would not take place, because it is "a sign of respect" and he also mentioned the protests.

Amanpour, who had prepared the studio for the interview, published a photo with the empty chair of Ibrahim Raisi and explained the story.

Raisi had previously said in an interview with a CBS reporter, "Women in Iran observe hijab as a matter of their own accord, and no one has given them a personal duty at all, rather they consider themselves bound."
