Abtahi's memory of the electoral fraud in the June 2 elections in favor of Nategh Nouri

 Mohammad Ali Abtahi, the then head of the office of Seyyed Mohammad Khatami, the reformist president:

"On the night of the elections, Karrbaschi brought ballots that already had the name 'Nategh Nouri' written on them. We were concerned about fraud. We went to see the late Hashemi. Mr. Hashemi said to be prepared for 2 to 3 million votes being tampered with. If your votes get mixed up with this number, there won't be much that can be done!"
