Tehran University of Medical Sciences Vice-Chancellor Warns Doctors

Avoid paying any direct payments to insurance organizations under the title of "Penalty for False Electronic Prescriptions"

The payment of the fine is solely subject to the issuance of a judicial ruling

Dr. Reza Shervin Badoo, the vice chancellor of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, wrote in a letter to the heads of hospitals in the management area of this university:

According to the correspondence of the Social Security Organization and telephone calls to some doctors of Tehran University of Medical Sciences regarding the "penalty for inserting false electronic prescriptions", the following is summoned:

Any payment of fines to insurance organizations is only possible subject to the issuance of a judicial order and after coordination with this deputy. Therefore, please refrain from making any direct payments to insurance organizations.

It is worth mentioning that in case of observing the payment of a personal fine by the doctors of that center to the insurance organizations under the name of the penalty for inserting a false electronic prescription, the relevant documents should be sent to this deputy for immediate follow-up.
