نامه فائزه هاشمی خطاب به اصلاح‌طلبان: چرا نباید در انتخابات شرکت کنیم

"Faezeh Hashemi", a political activist imprisoned in Evin prison, in a letter, addressed the community of "reformists and anyone who still cares about preserving the system", and spoke about the necessity of not participating in the elections with them.

Without referring to a specific group or person, he wrote that when "authoritarians justify their existence and function by changing, distorting, interpreting and interpreting words, they make laws and institutions ineffective, and they reinforce lies; "Dictatorships are dressed in the glorious garment of law."

According to Fazeh Hashemi, such dictatorial systems call themselves "people's governments" and refer to "demonstration elections" as the "highest form of democracy".

This political activist, who has openly criticized the policies of the Islamic Republic government in the past years, wrote in another part of his letter addressed to the reformist community and those who are committed to preserving the system: "If we do not defend them, one after others collapse. "Indifference to these trends automatically reinforces lies and submission to tyranny."

Ms. Hashemi has further stated that in a dictatorial system, the "tyrannical" rulers do not expect the people to "believe their lies, but to pass them by in silence or to go along with them despite protests and criticism." It is enough for them; Because "this way, they show their obedience."

In another part of this letter, Fazeh Hashemi pointed out that the continuation of such a structure depends on how long "the people, especially the properties, are willing to live with a lie" and wrote, "Living with the truth puts pressure on the tyrant, which forces him to react." is, sometimes compliance and more suppression. The pressure caused by free thought, the choice of clothing and social life independent of the government through civil disobedience, letters and statements, speeches and interviews, union, student and public protests and demonstrations, protest cultural behaviors, not participating in show elections and government calls and finally Not going along with what the dictator wants.

This imprisoned political activist has claimed that if we had not allowed the system to deviate, if the believers had not been deceived by the appearance of Islam and had not fallen into the trap of "protecting the system", if we had resisted until freedom and justice would not have been slaughtered, if we had not allowed gang interests and Dictators had a hard time staying in power when someone overrode the national interest.

Emphasizing that "money is needed to maintain democratic institutions", Faezeh Hashemi described any participation in the upcoming elections as "companion with lies and hypocrisy" and wrote: "Speech therapy in the current situation has no originality and appeal and is not attractive to other people. It does not matter which political party is in power. If we act differently, if we protect the words, if we prefer to preserve the institution of free elections over this metamorphosed institution, if we break our spell and do not participate in the elections with the people, we can make the path of the rulers difficult by spreading the truth. forced to change the policy and change the plan and finally take back the power we have given them.

At the end of this letter, this political activist emphasized that "living in the circle of truth is effective when it becomes an all-encompassing matter."/Iran Wire
