Ahmad Batebi, a journalist, photographer, and human rights activist who once became a symbol of student protests with his image on the cover of The Economist, recently published portraits of several prominent individuals he captured during his time in Iran.

In this regard, Batebi wrote: "Today, I was looking through the archive folder of portraits I took in Iran and saw dozens of faces I had photographed are no longer with us. I wish I had spent more time with them while taking their photos. I didn't appreciate these opportunities back then."
