I reached the parliament at seven in the morning. It was not important in the news and reports. I stayed at the public meeting until half past ten. We did not have an important order. We had the election of two candidates for the party commission, [Mr. Ebrahim Asgharzadeh], one of the extremists' candidates, won with a relatively weak majority: 94 votes out of 198, and the independent candidate, Mr. [Syed Kazem] Mirold, with 140 votes.

In the afternoon, the members of the Guidance [and Islamic Art] Commission came. They negotiated and consulted about the establishment of the National Youth Organization and the development of libraries and foreign advertising. I worked in my office until half past seven in the evening. I went to the meeting of the Expediency Council. The punishment of the counter-revolution was negotiated. The Imam has assigned the decision to the assembly. It was decided to act as usual, before the recent events. The Ministry of Information had such an opinion and the Evin judges had a stronger opinion.

The General Inspection Organization of the country brought the result of the investigation of the performance of the government penal organization, which is negative. We had a meeting of the heads of forces in the presence of the Imam. A question was asked to the imam about the scope of authority of the decision reference council and we requested that Ahmad Agha be a member of the council. I arrived home at twelve o'clock at night. Mehdi and Yaser were still awake.
