On the way to the Majlis, I went to the heart hospital and visited Mr. Taheri Esfahani, Hassan Saeed and Khorasani - one of the Iraqi displaced scholars whose three children are imprisoned [in that country]. In the parliament, most of my time was spent on meetings.
Mr. Mirza Taheri came and complained about his dismissal from the head of the environmental organization and asked for help to get the mission, and I helped. Mr. [Mahmoud] Vaezi, Deputy Minister of Post, Telegraph and Telephone came. He gave a report about the telecommunication satellite project that we are going to sign a contract with Japan and consulted about the participation of Türkiye and Pakistan in this project. I said that it would be better if it is from us and we rent them a channel, but experts should give their opinion. Also, he complained to [Mr. Hassan Abedini] the governor of East Azerbaijan for opposing the replacement of [Mr. Sufi] the director general of the province's telecommunications.
The Ministry of Oil informed that Iraq dropped several bombs from a high altitude, which did not cause any damage. I protested to the air force. Mr. Mehrayin, the general manager of the parliament services, came. He complains about the conflict of duties and wants to resign. I told him to write the problems and solutions.
Mr. Mohsen Marashi came and had offers to sell weapons. Martyr Shiroudi's wife came and asked for help to move house to Tehran and get a job. Mr. [Mahdi] Mohadi Kermani [Imam's representative in the country's city police] came and talked about the lack of city police budget, prisoners, and discrimination.
Two people from the relief and treatment headquarters of the front came and told about the disorder of treatment in the fronts and the lack of power of the relief and treatment headquarters. Mr. [Mohsen] Rezaei also complained on the phone about the same issue. I spoke with Mr. [Javad] Ajei [the head of the welfare organization], who said that the situation is improving.
The prime minister asked on the phone to go to the imam and ask for permission to borrow ten billion tomans from the banks for war expenses in addition to the budget. Mr. [Jalil] Basharti, who is in charge of following up people's complaints from the Prime Minister, came and gave a report of his work. Colonel [Mustafa] Turabi came and gave a report on the air defense situation in Khark Island. I said that it should be investigated and, if necessary, one of the SAM missiles - which we get from Libya - should be deployed in Khark. I came home at night and slept alone.
