In the afternoon I officiated the marriage contract of one of my bodyguards (Mr. Dehghan). Ahmad Agha came and informed me that the Imam had donated one million tomans to Islamic Azad University. He had looked into the objections that some people from Yazd had raised against Mr. Mohammad Ali Sadoughi, and said they were not very well-founded and had been resolved.
Early in the night Ahmad Agha called again and said that Radio Israel had reported that Iraq claimed to have retaken the heights it had recently lost, but our military officials had said that was not true. Iraq had probably put out this news to neutralize the reports by foreign journalists who had visited the front today. My nieces and nephews came in the evening to see the family members who had returned from the Hajj. Today acquaintances kept coming to visit them throughout the day.
