I reached my office at half past seven in the morning. By nine o'clock, part of the backlog work was done. Mr. [Mohsen] Noorbakhsh [Minister of Economy and Finance] and [Mohammed Hossein] Adili [Chairman of the Central Bank] came and told the program of monetary and economic reforms; Allocation of 500 million dollars of free currency to industries and 800 million dollars of preferential currency and freeing the entry and exit of foreign currency and granting foreign currency loans and guaranteeing foreign currency credits of others by the bank.

Mr. [Hamid] Mirzadeh came for the current affairs of the country. Mr. [Mohammed Javad] Muzafar came. He complained about the unnecessary arrest by the Ministry of Information. I came to the office. Afghanistan seminar members came. Dr. Velayati and Mr. [Sibghatullah] Mujjadi [spokesman of the Seven Alliance based in Peshawar, Pakistan] and [Mohammed] Mohaqeq [spokesman of the Eight Shia Alliance of Afghanistan] spoke and I also spoke briefly, and then we had a private meeting with Mr. Mujadadi who asked for help and interceded for the release of [Mr. Ahmed] Muftizadeh and expressed his readiness to negotiate with the Soviet Union.

At the end of the night, the leaders of the national and religious movements of Lebanon, Mr. Nabih Bari, Walid Jumblat, Ahmed Jibreel, Sheikh Saeed Shaaban, [Colonel] Abu Moussi and Sheikh Sobhi Tufili came. Then Ahmed Jabreel asked for a private meeting and talked about bringing Libya into Lebanon's affairs and taking care to preserve Soviet-Syrian friendship. In a private meeting, Mr. Junblat [the leader of Lebanon's Wazis] also said about the danger of Russia's support for Syria decreasing. In a private meeting, Mr. Nabih Bari [head of the Amal movement] opposed the presence of Libya in Lebanon due to the issue of Mr. Seyyed Musa Sadr.

I stayed in my office at night; Because Yasser had a guest at home. [Mr. Abdallah Nouri] Minister of Interior discussed the issues of Rafsanjan. The people have kicked out the new Chief of Justice, Mr. Mir Emad.
