At eight o'clock in the morning, the [public meeting of the Islamic Council] started. Several bills were passed by noon. In the afternoon, Iranian ambassadors in Europe and America came. I gave a speech for them. I talked about the need to have relationships and maintain principles and be proactive in dealing with opponents and rivals. In the evening, Mr. Behzad Nabavi came and complained about the continued treatment of the judiciary, that they are filing a case against him, and suggested that the ministers be allowed to make clearing transactions beyond their currency limit.

I participated in the Tuesday evening meeting of the representatives. I listened to their criticisms, suggestions and demands from the board of directors. Mostly, it was based on welfare and personality issues and the power of the parliament and basic bills. I spoke in detail and explained that I think it was convincing for the majority.

In the evening, I participated in the [meeting] of the Supreme Defense Council. After the council meeting, I [had] a television interview about Operation Mimic and the Red Cross and the Iraqi prisoner of war camp in Gorgan. I went to the assembly for dinner and sleep.
