I reached my office at 7:30 in the morning and did all the remaining work to be ready for the trip. Mr. [Abdulreza] Hashem Zayi, the head of economic affairs of Shahid Amed Foundation. He gave a report on the economic performance in the sectors of agriculture, industry, contracting, animal husbandry and trade and said about the weakness of the contracting sector. They earn about five billion tomans annually, which is mostly used to compensate for past losses.

Expediency Council had a meeting. We amended the law on legal representation in the special [Clergy] court as well as the law on radio and television monitoring. After the meeting, Ahmad Agha advised me to be kind to the extremist leaders and not to let the special court bother them.

After prayer, lunch and rest, we went to Mehrabad airport at half past one in the afternoon and flew to Mughan plain at two in the afternoon. Several ministers, deputies and representatives and Mehdi, Efat, Fati and Fereshte were with them. There was an official welcome at the airport of Moghan Agriculture Company. The officials of [East] Azerbaijan province had come.

We immediately went to the city of Parsabad. People welcomed enthusiastically. We visited the banks of Aras River. In order to prevent the progress of the water, they have blocked the shores on our side, and they have thrown a large amount of water that has been diverted from their shores into the main path; It is a good job.

I participated in a very glorious gathering of people. [Ayatollah Muslim Malkouti], the Juma Imam of Tabriz, the governor and representative of the city of Khairmoghadam said and I gave a short speech. People's feelings were very good. The city was clean and cheerful and the audience were young and teenagers. In the evening, we returned to the agricultural complex. We visited the cattle farm. It is modern and interesting; Currently, they have two thousand Canadian cattle. It is supposed to reach ten thousand heads. [Mechanized] milking, artificial insemination and cow surgery were visited. We went to the huge sugar factory in Moghan. Beet here is not of good quality and cotton cultivation is more profitable than beet, so not enough beet is planted and there is a shortage of factories.

I participated in the community of agricultural workers in the town. they reported I spoke to them. We ate dinner together. I asked about the family and companions. I went to rest. I caught the news at 10:30 PM and wrote today's memories. Efat came and discussed the topics of his negotiations with the ladies of the Council who are meeting the day after tomorrow.
