I studied until eight o'clock. We had a public session and continued without a break until noon. After prayers and a rest, I had several meetings. Mr. [Reza] Seifollahi and the intelligence officials of the IRGC's ten regions came, gave their work report, and described the current situation regarding the counter-revolutionaries and security.

Mr. [Reza] Seifollahi and the intelligence officials of the IRGC's ten regions came, gave their work report, and described the current situation regarding the counter-revolutionaries and security.
A group from Omid-e Enghelab magazine came and complained that, because they had violated the order of the Imam's representative, they had been disciplined and referred to the personnel department; they had published an article against Ayatollah [Seyyed Abolqasem] Khoei and the Hojjatieh Association and, despite Mr. [Mohammadreza] Faker's prohibition, had published it separately, and had criticized Mr. Faker, Mr. [Mohammad Hassan] Taheri Khorramabadi, and Mr. [Ali] Ahmadi before the officials. It was decided that I would look into it.
Mr. [Reza] Amrollahi, head of atomic energy, came and gave a report on the World Organization conference in Austria and complained that the services of the Iranian delegation in expelling Israel from that organization had not been well reflected in Iran. He again got my promise to support the Bushehr power plant.
Dr. [Abdollah] Jassbi came and we discussed the Islamic Azad University. It was decided that the first branch would begin soon. The fields, number of students, and conditions for the students, etc., were determined. The next branch will be in Mashhad. Mr. Mirkhani also came and asked for help regarding the facilities they have in Roudehen and want to have used - independently or alongside the Islamic Azad University. Their work has become difficult because of the accusation of affiliation with the Hojjatieh Association.
We had a meeting with the country's leaders and the officials of the IRIB. They spoke about the shortcomings of television programs and the influence of the leftists in production. Decisions were made to remedy the shortage of pictures and films and to strengthen the Islamic and moral foundations. It was a useful and effective meeting. They were our guests for dinner. I stayed in the parliament.
Incidentally, today I was the guest of Mr. [Mohammadmahdi] Rabbani Amolshi, a neighbor of the parliament, for lunch, and we discussed the management of Ayatollah Montazeri's household.
