Full text of the diary:
The commanders of the Basij came [on the occasion of the 26th of Azar, the day of the establishment of the Basij of the oppressed].General [Mohammad] Hejazi, the commander of the [Basij] Resistance Force, said that the determination of the general policy on the Basij in the Expediency Council led to a leapfrog growth in the Basij's facilities and work. In paragraph 36 of the third plan, it is stated: "In order to ensure sustainable security, the development of the Basij is considered in terms of quantity and quality, and in the third plan, 21 items have been mentioned on this basis, which has led to a growth of 105 percent in credits, including one percent of the gross profits of state-owned companies and some new measures and the recruitment of seven million people."
Mr. [Morteza] Mobalgh, the political deputy of the Ministry of Interior, came. In order to convince me, in order to support the opinion of the parliament in the three-point plan [to amend the electoral law], he gave some explanations and asked us to allow him to participate in the meeting of the [Expediency Council].
The Iftar was hosted by the members of the Cabinet of the Construction Government and their advisors and families. We usually hold such an empathy meeting once or twice a year in order to maintain relations. I also spoke a few sentences and gave the children a gift of 1,000 tomans each.
It was announced that the remnants of the Taliban had surrendered in Kunduz, and in one of the prisoner camps in Mazar-e-Sharif, Taliban prisoners rebelled and killed many of the forces of the United Front, and finally, at the request of the United Front, American planes bombed them, killing hundreds of them. It was announced that more than 1,000 U.S. commandos had landed at an airport south of Kandahar that belonged to bin Laden, and some were at Shindand Air Base, [in Herat Province].
In the southern Philippines, today was the election to appoint a successor to Mr. [Duterte Nor] Miswari, the leader of the Muslim deserter who went to Malaysia and was arrested there.
