Memoirs of Akbar Hashemi – November 26, 1989

I reached my office at half past seven in the morning. On the way, the guards explained that some of the guards who were with me and some of the audience there have suffered eye damage like me and they do not consider the possibility of an insidious move; It was supposed to be followed up.

Mr. Mohsen Rezaei came. He is going to North Korea. He consulted and asked Mohsen to accompany him. Mr. [Ebrahim] Raisi, the prosecutor of the revolution, came. He had opinions about government punishments and the fight against undecided crimes and seized property, and we consulted and reached a conclusion. It seemed to me to be wise and moderate. A group of veterans accepted in universities came with a group of Basijians; It was spoken for them. I set the agenda of the expediency assessment meeting with Mr. Mirmohammadi.

I attended the meeting of the government board. The ministers expressed their dissatisfaction with the procurement centers of the Ministry of Commerce and voted to remove and cancel the law on the pricing of imported goods by these centers.

At night, we had a meeting with Ayatollah Khamenei. They talked about the weaknesses of the goods procurement and distribution center and its losses, as well as the broadcast of the news of Mr. Khamenei's message to the president [of Pakistan] in Pakistan, which caused him discomfort, and the issue of punishments and the release of the entry of items that the government does not bring.

I returned to my office at half past nine and did the work until eleven at night. Mr. Dr. [Syedhamid] Sajjadi came to examine my eyes. He did not see any sign of disease. We decided to go to the office for further examination.
