I completed the tasks by nine in the morning. Mr. [Abolfazl] Tavakoli [Bina] came regarding trade and merchants and their problems. Mr. [Majid] Ghasemi, former head of the Central Bank and deputy minister of energy, came and spoke about economic plans and policies, with a favorable view. [Mr. Travor], senior advisor.
I did things until nine o'clock in the morning. Mr. [Abulfazl] Tawakli [Bina] came for trade and business affairs and their problems. Mr. [Majid] Ghasemi, the former head of the Central Bank and Deputy Minister of Energy, came and talked about economic plans and policies with a favorable view.
[Mr. Travor] High Advisor to the President of Guinea and the Minister of Religious Affairs of this country came together with [Mr. Seyyed Mohammad Khatami] the Minister of Guidance; It was a friendly negotiation and he asked for help.
In the evening, I participated in the session of the Persian Gulf International Conference. Dr. Velayati reported on the work of the conference and I spoke about the importance of the Persian Gulf and the way of administration and cooperation between the countries of the region. It is a quality and decent community. It ended with my speech.
Then we visited the exhibition and published works of the Political Studies Office, and also the directors were introduced in the hall of the [Ministry of Foreign Affairs] Studies Office. I suggested that a permanent exhibition for the published books of the office be set up there.
It was reported that the new president of Lebanon, "Rinieh Mouawad", was killed by a bomb explosion in West Beirut. Dr. Velayati explained. I did not go to the meeting of the government board and went home from there. I took the work home and did it until the end of the night.
