Full text of the diary:
After weeks of waiting, [U.S. Secretary of State Colin] Powell gave a speech at the University of Kentucky yesterday in which he said, among other things, that there should be two states of Israel and Palestine side by side, that Israel should end its occupation of the West Bank and Gaza, that settlements should be stopped, that Jerusalem should be internationalized, that the Palestinians should cease violence, that Israel's security should be guaranteed, and that [George Mitchell] should be at the heart of the plan. The Israeli government welcomed Pavel's proposal, but the media saw it as a repetition of past statements. Some of the conservative Arab governments also welcomed it, and some of the Palestinian leaders, but some of the Palestinian leaders said that there is nothing new, and the Arab media mostly called it an empty drum and a lot of fanfare for nothing, and in fact it has nothing worthy of those promises.
The United Front, with Lakhdar Brahimi's deputy, agreed to hold the first coordination meeting for the future of Afghanistan in Berlin, Germany, that the withdrawal of the United Front and the bombing of some parts of Afghanistan where the Taliban are gathering and where Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda are likely to be present will continue.

The attack on people's homes and the destruction of some of the U.S. aid packages that land with parachutes has sparked a wave of protest against the method of aid. Thousands of members of the Taliban and Al-Qaeda are under siege in Kunduz, and there are reports that some of them have surrendered to the civil war, and their bombing continues. Mullah Omar [the leader of the Taliban] has said that when he was thinking of surrendering, he had a dream and decided to resist until his last breath.
The Western media has launched a wide wave of propaganda for freedom and the opposition of the Afghan people to the Taliban's strictures, such as the spread of music, the cutting of beards, the presence of women in the streets, the removal of burqas, the resumption of cinemas, and the resumption of the work of Kabul TV after a five-year shutdown, with the presence of an unveiled girl, 19-year-old Maryam Shakiba, as the announcer.
Dr. [Mehdi] Darman came [from the Center for Strategic Studies and Planning] and suggested conducting strategic research on security and criticized the Institute for Security Research of the Ministry of Defense and Imam Hossein University. Mr. [Abdollah Asghar] Tehrani [from the Shahid Beheshti Charity Foundation] came and gave some explanations about his charity.Mr. [Mohammad Ali] Zam, [the head of the Art Department of the Islamic Propagation Organization], came and complained about his trial in the Special Court for the Clergy and the possibility of his dismissal.
