At noon, Ahmad Agha came. He returned from a ten-day trip. They went to the surrounding villages of Isfahan, Kashan, Najaf Abad and Qom. Mr. Askar Avaladi came. He expressed concern about the people's indifference towards the revolution. He wanted to conclude that the government did not act well. He insisted on the necessity of my cooperation with the community of teachers. Regarding the first issue, I said that our target should be the disadvantaged sections of the society, which are the majority, and which are pleasing to God and Islam. Regarding the second issue, I confirmed and advised him that it is necessary to distance the revolution from the unjust accusation of favoring the capitalists, and it is also necessary for the party [Islamic Republic] to maintain its forces, and I said that the Imam's support is important for the party, and now there are those who are trying to convince the Imam that the party has distanced itself from the Imam's policies. I reminded you that the last time I negotiated with the Imam to get permission to establish a party, he was worried that instead of being a father to all the forces of the revolution, we would be confined to one part of the forces, and now the horizon of such concern has become more visible.
