Mr. Mahdavi-Kani led the Friday prayers, and before noon Sheikh Ghodrat Alikhani came and brought the text of a letter that had been prepared at the Friday Prayer Leaders' seminar and signed by several people, and then, following opposition from supporters of the Islamic Republic Party and Mr. Meshkini, had been shelved. The letter is addressed to the Imam, and they have mysteriously portrayed the Islamic Republic Party as the cause of division. I discussed the matter by telephone with [Ayatollah] Mr. Khamenei.
Mr. [Mohammad-Hassan] Rahimian called and wanted permission to publish the book "Values and Schools of Thought" in Pasdar-e Eslam magazine. I said that because of its attacks on [Marxists and] the Soviets, I had doubts about whether it was advisable. It was decided that we would have an interview about the war. In the afternoon, Hajieh Valedeh and my sister Tayebeh came. We were happy, and all the children gathered.
They live in the village of Bahraman, Nowq, Rafsanjan, and do not want to change their way of life, and despite the concerns about their security, they do not even accept a guard for protection.
