We went home to see the repairs done. I gave orders to correct the repairs. Then I went to my office. The editor of Time magazine and his companions came from America for an interview. The interview was detailed and unrestricted. It took about two hours. I answered their questions and asked them questions about the action and policy of the American government, which in most cases, they admitted their own weakness. If they reflect completely, it is condemning for them, and if their goal is to lay the groundwork in American public opinion to reduce the pressure on Iran, the interview will work.

Dr. [Mohsen] Noorbakhsh, [Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance] came. He gave a report on his trip to America to participate in the World Bank and International Monetary Fund meetings and an agreement with France to assume outstanding debts.

In the evening, I attended the meeting of the government board. We decided to reduce the price of pasteurized milk, which has become expensive recently. Decisions were also made for timely supply of medicine and detergents. At night, the members of the fighting clergy community were my guests. There was a discussion about presidential election campaigns. I came home late.
