I reached the parliament at half past seven. I did the work until ten o'clock in the morning. The organizers of the anniversary ceremony of Imam (RA) came and gave a work report. [Mr. Nakayama], the Japanese foreign minister came. They talked about the development of cooperation and the security of the region and helping to release the hostages in Lebanon and the issues of Iraq. Mr. [Hossein] Kazempour [Ardebili] gave a report on the progress of negotiations with Japan to get their help in reconstruction.

Dr. Velayati [Minister of Foreign Affairs] consulted about the trip to Brazil. [Mr. Adrian Nastase], the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania came; He brought the letter of their president who invited me to Romania and wants to develop relations. He said that the state of order and production in Romania is bad and they are worried. I did a long interview with the Islamic Republic newspaper that lasted until half past two in the afternoon.

In the evening, in the Shahid Motahari Mosque, I participated in the graduation ceremony of the students [Shahid Motahari High School in master's courses]. I gave the awards and gave a speech. The Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution had a meeting. Near Maghrib, we went to the Majlis to participate in the ceremony of the [11th] anniversary of the establishment of the Islamic Council. It was a warm and friendly meeting of the parliament with members of the government delegation; The representatives were very warm.

The congregational prayer was led by me. Several people raised questions and complained about my statements in the Friday prayer from a weak point of view and asked for help to relieve the tension.

The conservatives have signed a strong message and the radicals demanded that I stop them. I spoke and answered the questions; They were convinced. We had dinner. There were many referrals from the representatives. We conducted a joint interview with Mr. [Mehdi] Karroubi, [Chairman of the Islamic Council]. I came home late.
